So it a new year and we're all (slowly) sobering up after too much home brew beer, mince pies and the like.

Now I know I haven't been very active over the last few months (mainly because I am suffering with artist block and really don't have a muse), but I haven't left, I have been dropping in to keep up to date with what you're all doing.

However I have started to formulate a piece, mentally, which I think has a lot of potential; but the only problem is trying to plan how I am going to do it and also making it look good.

I thought it would be nice to share (at least outline) what it is I plan to do:

I have been playing a game called Fallout 3, which is set a post-apocalyptic world where America and China went to Nuclear war, however the twist is that it's set in the future except America never really left the 50's (or the style of the era).

I really want to do a piece along the above lines as an homage to the game, the style of the era and the idiocy of some of the advice that was given at the time like telling children to hide under the classroom table when the bombs fall (yes Formica really is that tough!).

I know, I know.

I haven't been on much, I've just been so tied up (not literally) with work lately that I vane't been able to get on.

On top of that I've got artistic block and lathargy (I don't know what to create and even if I did I couldn't be bothered.), still hopefully it is a passing phase.

However I have now got myself a blog (link below) and in between coursework and work I'm teaching myself Japanese.

Any way I hope all is well with my fellow deviants and they're (mostly) keeping out of trouble.

So I’ve moved my website from its old address to its now new one, mainly because the original company was taken over and the new owners stopped supporting free web space.

I’m now with AwardSpace which is far superior to my old host plus it comes with PHP as standard.

Also I’ve started drawing again, got some new pads and pencils so I’m sketching like a good ‘un, mainly realistic portraits or images that sort of thing.

Velvet Frontier V3.0 is officially online and the new layout of my site has got some cool new features:

Lightbox script for dynamic galleries
Killer background
Accessibility keys for disabled users
Totally XHTML and CSS VALID! You’ll get no coding errors with this baby.

There’s still a few things left to do for it but IF anyone has any errors with the site then let me know and I’ll see what I can do.

Sorry for not being on too much lately, as with everyone (I'm sure) I've been busy.

Lots of Overtime at as you would expect, so in that respect I'm glad Christmas is over, just got the last running up to New years and then we can have some sense of normality.

I'm also pleased to announce that I am an Admin of redhotfans, a Red Hot Chili Peppers fan club.

I also brought a new HD Tele today [link] and my god is it beautiful, so I should get that next Thursday.
